CASE STUDY 1

The King Edmund School

We entered in to a long term partnership with the school.

We have replaced all communication cables in the school, and have assisted in the development of a VOIP telephone system to run over the new infrastructure.

We re-cabled the school and provided every classroom with a projector and interactive whiteboard

There were a number of challenges along the way, the buildings were a mixture of traditional and modern buildings. The traditional buildings built in the 1950’s meant that we had to be a little more creative. We did not have the drop down ceilings that we are all so used to today. Instead we had to drill through brick walls and ceilings to achieve our objective.

We worked with the schools management IT team to determine their precise needs to ensure the system we installed was a fast as possible improving response times.

We worked outside of school hours during the evenings to ensure that the job was brought in on time to enable the building to be used during normal school hours.

We are pleased with our contribution to upgrading the schools IT systems.

The School were kind enough to provide us with the following comments:
“The King Edmund School is pleased to support Scotech, who have been providing their services to this school for several years. Their personnel are highly skilled, efficient and effective and pride themselves in a high quality of work and installation. This school has over 900 computers and 70 interactive whiteboards and the complex cabling across a number of buildings to provide the computer data points and to install the IWB’s has been complex and, at times, difficult. The advice and expert knowledge offered has proven invaluable. Their attendance has always been prompt and all completion dates have been duly met. I recommend them unreservedly.”

CASE STUDY 2

The Grays Convent School

This school required a number of changes to its IT systems.

As a result of our ongoing commitment to the school, we were delighted to be asked to quote for new projects which were initiated by the school.

The manner in which we designed and configured the system meant that there was scope for further changes to be made to ensure that the system maintains a modern stance on all of its IT projects.

We are proud to have assisted with building a system which will survive several years and is capable of being consistently modernised.

The Assistant Headteacher made the following comments about us:
“We have worked with the company on a regular basis for the last 4 years installing network infrastructure, Interactive Whiteboards and maintaining our multimedia projectors. I recommend them to your organization for the following reasons:

The prices are in line with competitors.

They work at times convenient to the school i.e. working from 6am – 8.30am.

This means that we do not have to take corridors or classrooms out of use during the school day.

We see the same team of installers each time staff are not having to re-explain the layout of our premises.

The team are highly professional and get along well with our staff.

The company does not get involved in ‘hard selling’ and are very willing to be flexible. We sometimes alter our plans at short notice and the company are always able to accommodate our requests. Invoicing is efficient.

Assistant Headteacher

CASE STUDY 3

The Chafford School

Is a specialist Business and Enterprise College which enjoys excellent facilities.

The school stimulates their pupil’s environment by providing equipment which is cutting edge in the business world. The school uses this to raise levels of achievement.

They are fully committed to providing their pupils with the highest standards and we have assisted the College by providing not only our professional networking services, but also sourced high quality classrooms items such as interactive white boards and installed them for the school.

The Deputy Headmaster said the following of us:
”I have worked with Ron Leslie and Scotech since its early beginnings. The Company is extremely professional in the way it deals with the clients, the quality of work and its personal approach when dealing with enquiries. Scotech cabled the entire school to a very high standard of workmanship. They also provided hardware like interactive whiteboards and projectors.

As a school they worked with us ensuring that all work was carried out in the time frame and on occasions put themselves out to fulfil our needs. They offer clear advice, solutions and alternatives to the ideas we have put forward. We find them extremely professional and they do an excellent job. I have no hesitation in recommending them.”
